Hello mommy and daddy, are you kind of sick of being called mommy and daddy these days? Yeah, it's crazy how the meaning of those names change so much the second you have kids. And especially the second your kids starts to talk. Now, it almost starts to feel like the alarm sound you were so used to hearing at 6am everyday. In a way, your kids are like an alarm clock, so it's not too far off. But, hey! You are a great parent. You love your kids more than anything you ever thought possible and you are doing your best to stay patient and caring. That is SO friggin' hard, especially since these kids are wired to test you boundaries, since their brains are trying to figure out how to be independent. You're all like, "don't climb the counters to get a snack, tell mommy or daddy and we'll get it for you." And then 10 seconds later you see them climbing the counters to get a snack… You want them to learn their lesson, but you also don't want them to hurt themselves. Parenting is just a sequence of learning moments for everybody involved.
